is gradient neutral density the only way to get good moonshots without underexposing everything else. It was just a beautiful moorise here in boston and i couldnt capture sh!t

You mean to capture the moon in the background of a shot? Usually the foreground is way too dark and the moon will appear like the sun almost. I typically go to max tele and take a nice shot of the moon, then photoshop that moon into pics I take of other things.

The only way I see this being possible in night landscape photos would be a filter that only has the ND filter on the exact spot of the moon, but no where else...
