start the car and off I go. Generally running late for my train. It is either idle time or sleep time. And sleep always wins

I have cold start turned off on the car thanks to the tune. I normally let it run for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before setting off

I don't wait until the car is warm (registering above 0 on the temp gauge), but I start the car, play around with various settings, and then drive the car. So about 30 second, which is right about when the cold start cycle finishes.

(aside: Why do American manufacturers spell it "gage"???) to make sure I have everything the way I want it, radio, A/C temp, etc. Then I have to pick my way around the borders of the alien compound I live in, and across a shopping center parking lot, to get to the main street. Car is warmed up by then unless the weather is below freezing, and probably even in those conditions. |
