Baby Raccoon is back. 1024x768 100% crop (reduced to 800x600 for this post). Shot with my 85mm f1.8 wide open at 200 ISO. I was thinking about buying a Rokinon 85mm f1.4, but I'm not sure I'd do much better than I can with this lens.

I think I am done for good. Started feeling like I was part of a penal colony instead of a free man. Missing my family and civilization...Had to come back even if I won't make as much money in the states.

You needed realistic, multi-shot HDR. There's simply too much dynamic range to fix in post, so, instead you should bracket three to five images and fold them together into one HDR image. Another possibility was flash. This is one that needed help when taken, rather than fixed in post.

Ahh... thanks Dave. Unfortunately this was taken hand-held, 1600 iso, and 1/5s on my 20D. The mere fact that it is relatively sharp is surprising. I can't imagine shooting it in HDR without a tripod.
