Agreed. My wife loves the city so thats where I am staying unfortunately. You learn to enjoy it though.
The only things NYC is good for though is finance careers, programming and hipsters. None of which I am. I love cars and the worst and most expensive place to own a car is NYC. Don't know what the f*ck is wrong with me. |

I was there this February when that snow storm hit. I literally sat at westchester airport in the viewing gate upstairs shaking my head, wondering how people put up with that weather. I don't know why you haven't moved out west either.

Depends what part of the East coast. I really enjoy where I'm at right now. I'd like to be a little closer to the beach, but a 2 hour drive isn't bad.
Michigan however, was a shit show. So glad to be out of that state. Winters sucked, nowhere good to vacation unless you were a hunter or into snow sports. |

I was simply helping my man Billups live vicariously through me since he wanted to go surfing, honest!

I want to move back full time to Seattle, but the industry dictates NYC or LA. I'll take my once in a blue moon earthquake, any day.

To be honest, NYC isn't that bad. You have the beaches on long island, an awesome night life cuz...NYC, Atlantic city down south, mountains for skiing and boarding up north. Some good tracks in CT, MA, PA and NY... Its purely the fucking living expenses that piss me off. There is just no need for it to be as high as it is.

Yea, best spot for our business in the country is by far NYC and LI. Unfortunately for my day job, its one of the worst areas. |
