Never even knew there was such a thing as alcoholic root beer. It's good. I'm almost done with the 6 pack, so I'm probably not a reliable source right now.

Tastes pretty close to Captain and rootbeer. I prefer the captain mix instead, wasn't too fond of the NYFRB.

Seems like a way to ruin a perfectly good beverage. Good root beer is good all by itself. Not everything needs alcohol.
