Talking BMW X5 Xdrive 40d 2011 tires and rims

Hey guys

So i got my BMW X5 like a month ago and it already had for summer tires 275 40 20 square. The tires are almost done so this week i am gonna get new ones! But my question is if is better to get square or as i hear a lot get 275 40 20 front and 315 35 20 rear. Like what is the difference and how it affects the car based on performance?

Trying to get as much info as can since this is my first car and want to take care of it as much as i can!

I would keep the square setup especially on an xdrive. Remember you can then also rotate the tires.

The 315/35R20 does "looks" nice in the rear (my non-winter setup).
My winters are square 255/50R19 (previously year round)

If I would have to choose again today E70 options
- 275/40R20 square - summer
- 255/55R18 square - winter
