Shipping a car...

I bought a second car to help keep my e90's miles lower. Anyway, it's in California and I'm wondering if I should ship it, or fly out there and drive it back. I'm not sure I trust an auto transport company. Anyone know of a good one?

i am guessing you don't want to put miles on your car so it would have a better resale value? but wouldn't the money you'd be saving by not putting on miles on your bimmer be alot less than the money you shelled out for a new car? i mean unless you got a used hyundai elantra or something. the 3 series isn't exactly a showroom car, it's meant for every day driving.

All true, but I love cars and it's a classic Mercedes that I got a great deal on, so I'll enjoy driving both. Part of the reason is to save miles on my Bimmer, but the other is to enjoy a classic convertible, too.

The closed container is a must if you want to avoid any scratches. Do a good search.

Thanks for the info, ase2dais. Did you go with DAS? I heard some bad stories about that company. You'll have to let me know how they do. Or maybe you used someone else. I'm leaning toward driving the car myself.
