Ended up with a Lexus

although i wanted to look for a used 335i/435i xDrive sooo bad, i ended up with a 2017 Lexus IS300 F-Sport and i honestly have no regrets besides no memory seats and BMW power, i do plan on moving to a BMW on my next car though so i will definitely still be lurking around here!! best of luck to everyone and their cars

I have no brand loyalty. Any time I buy a car its a fresh sheet of paper on what I like at the time.

Enjoy your new car, Lexus does a good job with them.

I know next to nothing about Lexus. Can you eat anything with a 6MT from them?

As said before I don't care about sticking to one brand even though I am on my 3rd M vehicle right now. That being said if another car comes along that sweeps me off my feet, I won't care if it's a Benz or Lexus or Audi. Congrats and enjoy it.

Although I cannot stand the look of that fugly grille on those cars, they make a beautiful interior and are reliable as could be. Enjoy it in good health!

Drove my friends 2017 IS350 and loved it. The front is not my cup of tea but the car was quick and looks really nice. Personally my next choice is the M240xi but I would not mind the is350 one bit.

And those or horrifyingly slow...that said, I love Lexus. I'm waiting for the 6 cyl. turbo IS, because that 11 year old 3.5L isn't gonna cut it for me. It's inevitable.

Not anymore but the last gen 250 was available with a 6spd. It was a terrible gearbox.

Can't go wrong with a Lexus in terms of reliability. I had an IS250 awd before my m3. Bought the IS new back in 2009 and put almost 160,000km on the car before traded it in last year. In the 7 years of ownership the IS had zero issue, only things that were replaced are wear and tear items like tires, brakes and fluids. I literally drove that car everywhere, from daily downtown traffic to long road trips, through the Rocky Mountains and Canadian winter. All that, zero dollar spent on repairs.

my dad had a white RCF in 2015, it was a good car and made good power, you just don't feel it off the line because of how low the torque is, it just needs a tune and lexus' infotainment system is awful compared to BMW's, but if the car is for your wife i would definitely get her one over an M4, just don't even bother throwing money into a new one when CPO's are exactly the same for much less money, or wait for the refresh coming soon with the new nav screen and new infotainment from lexus that seems to be the slightest improvement

yeah exactly, my family is a lexus family and we have a 2006 IS250 AWD bought brand new in 2006 with 200000 miles with zero issues, but my car is on a lease anyways so i can see myself back in a BMW when it's over, unless they throw a turbo v6 in the IS then i will stay with lexus

I was seriously considering a Lexus for my last car purchase, but I couldn't find a newer model with a manual transmission.
