Although not quite in the same league, how about an SQ5 (since you mentioned the Macan)?

Last time I checked, both of those you highlighted had 4 doors.

A B9 RS4 in the states is what I'm crossing my fingers for. I prefer AWD here in Seattle and would love to see that as an option. An intriguing car is the Chevy SS with manual tranny and magnetic ride suspension for 2015. It's a pretty amazing sleeper at a very affordable price. |

It's all speculation right now but I'd imagine it'll get the TT V6 from the CTS Vsport in a more aggressive state plus the usual huge Brembos, electric LSD, mag suspension, PTM that other GM performance models get. Should be on par with the M3 in terms of performance if the CTS Vsport is anything to go by.
That pic is from today so I'd imagine it won't be long before both models are out. |

Still exciting though. These cars are going to be pivotal for Cadillac. Can they follow up the last generation CTS-V which was a big hit - in no small part due to performance at its price-point - while splitting the buyers across two cars which won't have quite as a high a value proposition? Tough to call. And will the CTS-V continue with the pushrod V8, or adopt the 4.5L TT DOHC V8 from the concept car last year? ATS-V looks certain to get the TT V6. I agree with you on the CTS-V pricing by the way. And I suspect just under $60k starting for the ATS-V, though it probably won't go much over $70k loaded which should help it against the German competition. |
