From the article:
"Mackenzie Bezos received shares that are worth $35 billion. That’s 35,000,000,000. She was married to Jeff Bezos for 25 years. That’s 25×365(yes,yes, I know there are leap years, but lets keep it simple). 25×365=9,125 days of marriage. $35,000,000,000 divided by 9,125= $3,835,616 per day. It costs Jeff Bezos almost $4 million per day to be with Mackenzie. Let’s break that down further. If we divide that by 24 hours in a day, it comes to $187,817 per hour."

Are you guys aware that she helped him launch the company and made critical decisions throughout its history? Might be worth reading about amazon's history!

I believe the story goes, at one point Jeff was feeling crushed and ready to give up on the project and his wife wouldn't let him. She put pressure on him to not accept failure and to keep his drive to succeed. Just one year later Amazon was funded and moving beyond a concept. That was the point when she started to get behind the business and help him anyway she could. His success would not have happened without her. I don't think he had a single qualm about leaving her wealthy after the divorce. They honestly did it together.
