Powerlifting and Crossfit: Best Lifts

Just wanted a thread so people can celebrate PR's and talk about the glorious sport of powerlifting/olympic weightlifting/crossfit. Squat numbers only count if you go below parallel(IMO ATG). I come from a powerlifting background but starting olympic weightlifting and crossfit last year. So considering this is the interwebs I am sure the majority of people will bullshit their numbers but I'll start it off.

Deadlift: 445 lb
Back Squat: 345 lb
Front Squat: 305 lb
Bench: 275 lb
Squat Clean: 245 lb
Power Clean: 255 lb(PR 3/18/16)
Clean and Jerk: 225 lb
Power Snatch: 165 lb
Snatch: 165 lb

Current Body Weight: 190 lb

Years ago: Bench 255 (queue the music: "Ohhhh, Glory Days!")
Recently: 145

Back Squat: 205

Don't know/haven't done the rest of those things. Never less than 4 reps on any of those.

Nice! I am jealous of your snatch. It took the first few months of crossfit just to open up my thoracic spine enough to get into a decent overhead squat. My snatch is still garbage though.

I did each twice.

16.1 - I did both scaled and Rx and got 135 reps scaled and 115 Rx. I should have just done Rx first because those walking lunges were BRUTAL on consecutive days...

16.2 - I got 423 reps scaled on Friday then tried it again on Monday and got the exact same thing (both times with about 4 min to spare). I REALLY wanted to get 185 up but I just couldn't do it. I easily pulled it up to my shoulders probably five times but 185 is the same weight I rolled over myself with a few months back so I just couldn't get my brain to let me swing under the bar. Don't want to end up on Tosh.0...

As an aside, all of this deep squat stuff somehow made one of my balls swell up so I'm in a ridiculous amount of pain right now. I hope 16.3 is radically different so I can actually do it. Really don't want to skip a week!!!

How did you guys do?

I did each workout once.

16.1 I thought was a pretty fun workout. Since the reps for the burpies and C2B werent super high you didn't get stuck at one or the other. I should have pushed the gas a little more. I started crossfit in November so I am still pretty new to it. After seeing the 20 minute AMRAP I paced myself too much when I could have got a few more rounds in. 136 Rx.

16.2
I went Rx on this and did shitty as hell. I have been pretty decent at the olympic lifts since I have been a long time fan of barbell training but gymnastics is a big weakness of mine. The T2B took me longer than I thought and after that it took me 30-45 seconds to get a solid rhythm in the DU's(a bigger weakness of mine). By the time I got to the 135 lb cleans I managed to make it to 11 before the 4 min hit. I was shocked! I was expecting to get decently far into the 225 lb cleans and I got my ego checked big time Amazed to watch the videos of high level athletes finishing this workout with the 315 lb cleans.

Looking forward to 16.3! Released here in about 20 minutes!

Dead- 485 raw

Competed at 198 now 44 years old and close to those numbers still

Solid! Did you see Blaine Sumner compete at the Arnold? 1102 Squat, 885 bench, 815 Dead. 2802 total.

Dude is insane. Drinks blended ground chicken smoothies. Savage.

No but have been at meets where stan efferding was present. Pulled 455 last week after not doing deads for long time very heavy. Felt it for a week. Can pause 315 bench on good days. But fighting bicep and shoulder injury for quite some time.

Damn, how can you do near those numbers now? I could bench 315 fifteen years ago at 175lb..I'm 46 now....I don't even try going over 245 now...just don't need the pain and injury.

Injury happens been fighting shoulder and bicep for a while. Strange the shoulder is from squat. Holding arms back behind bar is very painful.

I figured you had some secret how us mid-life guys can keep the weight going. That's the problem, those injuries and tweaks just stay there once your past 40.

I just keep moving, I'm post acl, mcl surgery and have no meniscus in my right knee so expecting some debilitating arthritis at some point. Squat and regular exercise don't bug me but hiking or running sure do.

I self medicate with booze if that counts as a tip.

I don't think I have ever seen someone have their bench weight higher than their squat weight and almost the same as their deadlift before

It's rather embarrassing. I have done competition and out benched my squat.
