Exclamation STAR WARS: The Force Awakens (Tickets Now On Sale!)

YES!!! I have purchased 4 Tickets already!

http://www.starwars.com/films/star-w...-force-awakens

Tickets were unleashed TODAY and in doing so, multiple websites crashed as Legions of Fans swarmed online to purchase: http://deadline.com/2015/10/demand-f...rs-1201588246/

Quote:
The months and months of hype have paid off for Disney and Lucasfilm this afternoon, as theater chains began offering advance ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters two months from today on December 18. Perhaps a little too well, however. Legions of Star Wars fans immediately rushed to online ticket sellers to secure their seats but alas, the force is not strong with them. The sudden rush of demand from Jedi-happy fans has caused loading issues and site outages on purchasing platforms including Fandango, the Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC Theaters.
Fandango was most seriously affected as of this writing, with the site timing out before the home page loads when we attempted to access it. Service for ticket sellers has been spotty all over, and though many fans were eventually able to purchase tickets after several attempts, others are reporting they’ve gotten access only for these sites to crash again before finalization.

Ahh... I remember going to see Star Wars when it first came out... Who would have though that 37 years later the force would finally awaken!

Actually looking forward to this. Lets hope it's as epic as they're advertising!

I was young when the original came out. We made a special hour trip to watch it at Grumman's Chinese theater in LA. The opening scene, where the little ship flies by and then a huge cruiser comes over, the whole theatre was rocking. I was so impressed with that opening scene. I can't think of another movie that ever had such an impact on me.

I am NOT getting tickets 2 months in advance. . . It's not like it's a Conan movie that I would be willing to stand in line for hours to be first into the theatre.

I was 6 when the first movie came out, it was the first movie my mom let my older brother an I sit in the front row instead of back with her. That opening scene was so impressive in the front row. It is the first movie I remember seeing in the movie theatre.

And the first coding I ever did was BASIC on the Atari 80, in a way to give me a choice of which ending I wanted to read of the short Conan story I had written into it.

Like conan the barbarian? They are entertaining but hardly worth standing in line for. Is there a line?
