Question Looking for a small compact electric power washer

Hi; I am looking to buy a small, compact electric power washer for washing car only,so I don't need tons of pressure.
I had a Sun Joe that I used once and sold it,so now I am thinking I should have kept it.....anyway,what do you suggest?Thanks,H50

The Karcher 1800 cube is decent. I recently relegated that to bike duty and got the Active 2.0 for car. Both are good, but the Karcher struggled a bit with a 50ft reel hose. The Active is amazing but the Karcher is a great value.

Very pleased with my Active 2.0. Small, quiet, and perfect for washing cars. Not too powerful like my big gas powered unit is..

A friend of mine got me this one as a gift. It's tiny, but mighty. I changed the hose and put on some quick connects.

are you looking for a mobile friendly unit, wall mounted, or something kinda in between.

I have an Active unit, wall mounted, and upgraded attachments. The nicer attachments has really made the washing process a lot more enjoyable and convenient.

It may seem obvious, but some of these PWs dont have provisions for storing a hose or attachment. Keep that in mind if you are tight on storage space or looking for a tidy way to store this stuff.

What in your opinion is the best foam liquid to be used in a dedicated foam cannon that actually cleans rather than making tons of foam.I am looking
for some liquidy type foam, rather than some thick shaving cream foam,so let the bubbles do the 'scrubbing'.Thanks,H50

I use a small craftsman pressure washer with a chemical guys cannon. Works great for me.

It's going to depend on your budget and what you're looking for. I wanted the cheapest one without being to trash so I ended up on the SunJoe XPS 3001. Upgraded the hose to their heavy duty one to and overall I like it.

I have a Karcher K2 Follow Me at work. It's pretty handy for remote locations, cordless with a built in reservoir. The tank holds about a gallon of water & the battery is good for 3 tanks.

It's car soap, not wheel cleaner. For brake dust, you want a wheel cleaner specifically containing iron remover like Griot's HD wheel or Meguairs ultimate wheel.

If you're washing your car frequently, Reset should work on your wheels too. But if you have a lot of brake dust or it's been awhile since the last wash, a dedicated wheel cleaner would probably be a better choice. Personally, I use Adam's Wheel + Tire Cleaner diluted 1:1 in a IK foaming sprayer to clean, topped with Carpro HydrO2 spray and rinse. Works great for me

Quick question, where did you get the new hose you mentioned? I think I saw a few at Home Depot, but not sure...I have that model, but the original hose sucks.

Edit: Got what I needed from Amazon...all good.

Another vote for the Active 2.0. Although the 2.3 is apparently coming.

When it comes to pressure washers for cars, Pressure is not something that is really important, anything over 1000 is really not needed. It's GPM, is the specification is what you should be paying attention to.

The active 2.0 is one of the better, inexpensive units for car detailing for non commercial use. Its specs are 1000psi and 2.0 GPM, perfect for car washing, and foaming. Its is highly recommend, you replace the nozzles with 5.0 orifices as well to get more flow.
