I give in... XBOX 360 + Halo 3!

Well, I'm giving in. I quit playing Halo 2 a year ago (in fact, stopped using my XBOX totally) and told myself I wouldn't get H3 or a 360... but I happened to pass by a GameStop and saw the H3 video they had going... and a feeling of nostalgia swept over me

I've played H1 right from the start, LAN'd a lot, and got real good playing on neXBC (before XBL was invented). Played H2 alot too... I even participated in the EBGames national competition event. Won the local store event, but lost the national one over XBL (it was still very new)... got a $50 or $100 gift card though

Anyway, here I am again. H3 is beckoning and now I gotta buy a 360 just to play it

I played some H2 on neXBC last night and maaaaaaaaan am I rusty!

Apart from wanting to finish the campaign story, the multiplayer is what sucks me in. Hopefully they got better anti-cheating measures this time around.

Oh and Microsoft's policy is kind of whack. They won't allow me to use my old XBL username since I canceled it. I understand preventing others from using a name, but the person that used it before? Sucks

Other than H3 I hope to get Gears of War... maybe Tenchu Z. My bro says R6 Vegas is great too.

WOW...talk about old school. I used to be on XBC all the time too bro! That was intense. I've been playing quite a bit of system links with friends lately since XBL bets really frustrating sometimes and a lot of douches are always one haha. I've played the Halo 3 demo and what can I say...... it's a winner! The gameplay is great and it has some very cool features Halo 2 XBL players always wanted. Looks to be very fair in terms of weapons when it comes to XBL too (stupid bitch combo

ive been playing the halo 3 beta for the past few weeks and its amazing
its exceeded all of my expectations
im trying to get a montage of some good gameplay i had in the h3 beta soon, ill keep you guys posted

Well, I just got my 360 tonight and a 12 (+1) XBL subscription card... gonna fire it up soon. The local EBGames here has a buy 2 get 1 free on used games too, pretty good deal.

I haven't played the beta obviously but I'll be patient lol... probably check out some videos of it soon though.

+1 on the screaming 10 yr olds... and the sniper whores... and the dimwit teammates that think they're better than you 10 seconds into the game

*edit: oh and I put a deposit on the H3 Legendary package

Good news: turns out Microsoft actually has a "Recover Gamertag" system in place... asks for your old billing info (credit card, phone, name, zip).

Bad news: despite doing this, and trying different variations of my name (caps, middle name)... still got the same card... no dice

Oh well... in the process of deciding on a new one.

I'm already a level 18 on Team Hardcore in H2 from the past 2-3 days of playing

Gotta stop playing H2 and play the other games instead!

... hard to come by! Circuit City seems to be getting them in stock more than others. And that's my old XBOX behind it. Messy setup, still have to tidy it up and find a place for it.

Now all I need is a new TV

Oh BTW the Halo Wars trailer looks cool, but apparently Bungie's not making it, Ensemble Studios is (Age of Empires people).
