Can i buy quality diamond earrings for 1K or less?

GF and I are turning 6 months soon, i want to get her something nice, she doesn't have a pair of diamond earrings...and ive never bought them for anyone before..


so the guys here who bought them for their wives, gfs, whores, etc..


where do i begin to look and what am i expecting to pay?


i've already expected some of you to chime in and call me and idiot already, so i got my guard up...

but look at her, she's adorable....how do you not spoil girls like this?

What size were you thinking?

If you want the best color and clarity go to the Asian jewelry stores, they are usually between 2000k - 500.

If you want brand name go to Tiffany, they have a .22 carat for 1000k.

If you want decent color and clarity for a decent price, go to Zales, Jared, Kay, etc. they are usually between 300-600 for .5 carat or so.

It really all depends on the quality.

Usually you don't have to bribe your woman with jewelry for sex till your married. You are setting a bad precedent. Instead, flowers and dinner at a nice restaurant should cover it.

But, if you are dead set on this, go to a local artisan and get something from them. Me and the wifey used a local jeweler who custom made her engagement ring and our wedding bands and we saved a ton of money over going to a place like Tiffany's and we got something that is more unique and hand crafted just for her.

I agree with this, $1k is going to get shit. either good quality but tiny as hell. or shitty quality and at least visible to the naked eye lol. Neither one is particularly a 'win'

1k will get you pretty garbage quality diamonds or a really small diamond. I got a pretty decent color and clarity with .96(total) for 1600.
