Sadly, I expect it to be expensive, heavy, and not available in the USA.

Very happy to have my Exige though, nothing else like it.

Looks great in that blue and sounds fantastic! Reminds me of a cross between the new Corvette and an Evora. Still would like to buy an Evora but sadly with the gassers coming to an end I expect prices to stay the same or increase.

Six-speed manual transmission is what I'd expect from Lotus. I think the side scoops are a bit dramatic, but the rest of the surfaces are well done. Interior looks very business-like.

Better executed than the C8 IMO.

English previews say V6 Toyota SC or I4 AMG engine, the former with MT or AT (torque converted), the latter only with Merc's dual-clutch (but with launch control). Oh, and GBP 60,000 starting price. The same as 33 Evijas, apparently.

Heavy by Lotus standards, but a featherweight otherwise at around 3000lbs. 60k £ starting I assume. Power ranges from 360-400hp….Manual only available with the 3.5 supercharged V6. This all according to Carwow.

I bet this car would look stunning in Dark Verdant. I will say the black levels on the center display look like shit though from what I’ve seen. It would be an irritation at night time.

New lotus Emira just debuted! Has the looks of a baby Evija, start in the 70k range. Lightest configuration 3100 lbs, hydraulic steering. Choice between the supercharged V6 or an AMG I4 with a choice of 6MT, Automatic. 360-400 HP. Last ICE Lotus before full EV. Definitely worth a look.

U.S. pricing expected low $70k for base model (AMG-sourced 4-banger). Supercharged V-6 version expected from mid $85k and up. Lotus is targeting the 718 range and pricing accordingly. Looks more expensive than it will cost.

I just recently sold my C63s and always thought I'd be back in a Merc eventually. Close enough with the base model Emira I guess. AMG's M139 turbo-4 is quite stout and should be easily tunable as well. Probably the better value in my opinion if the pricing works out this way.

Almost too good...the catch is that the base version will make ~360 hp in stock form as tuned by Lotus in house and will be paired with DCT only. Manual option offered for the V6, but that will cost ~$85k.

very promising. the looks are blowing away most of its competition... c8 and cayman included. i see some pista in the side profile and 812sf on the hood design. the main drawback is dealer network and reliability i'd imagine.

Really odd choice IMO... but interesting I guess.

I've never driven/riden in a Lotus. I recall seeing a couple in person and I could barely believe how small they are... but these are going to be ~3100 lbs I guess- in line w the weight gains across the board w cars nowadays I suppose.

Def intriguing...
