Sounds like a great car. Oh yea if its not too late I would add EBT. I have Pro Nav and don't have EBT (Week 8 Build)

I would have ordered it had I gone with the Adaptive Suspension so that I could rest my elbow more easily whilst smoking my pipe :-)

You should have ordered the sliding arm rest though, only a true enthusiast has a sliding arm rest!

Agree. Didn't find that at all with the 330d demo.

Same. Dealer couldn't provide a 325d demo. Mainly do urban driving so yes, probably don't necessarily need Adaptive.

Adaptive lights and suspension have great merits on rural roads. However, probably not as much use on busy urban ones.

Good luck with the wait...

+1 for the sliding armrest

Heated seats... worth adding for resale? I'd insist on them myself if I were buying second hand. Just a thought.

Great car, engine & spec - enjoy

I agree tbh, well not quite, but yes 330d appears to be far worse on short journeys and urban driving comparatively, although still marginally better than my old 320d.

But the longer distance mpg seems very good already!

Yep, in my usage my E90 320d (LCI) averaged 48mpg long term.

800 miles in and my 330d is only averaging about 42mpg... A trip to the shops is about 30mpg... Work, 12miles, is 40-45mpg A long run, 40-50 ish miles and it's nudging 50mpg. First motorway run this weekend...

The warm up time is the killer.

OP. The 325d should be fantastic mix. Enjoy!

How long/many miles do you estimate it takes to warm up? My commute is about 12 miles like yours

@JM7789

I'd guess it hits 60-80 in 5 minutes/miles. However, the full 100 takes more like 10-15 minutes/miles. Traffic, speed, route dependant.

Guess I'm unlikely to get it properly warmed up then will have to go the long way to get some morning kicks

Most of my journeys are less than 8 miles and it never warms up so hitting 42mpg. When I get to do a long journey over 100 miles, I get 55mpg plus. I think I should have bought an i3!

If my employer offered some kind of electric fuel card rather than for petroleum, maybe I would....

My journey is 17 miles to work and the oil temp is only just hitting running temp when I get there. Of that 17 miles 16 is on dual carriageways. I'm currently averaging 42mpg.

I'm getting around 45mpg from very good mix of town, country and A road. If i reset and do some country b/a roads i get about 48mpg, but if i reset and do some town driving i get about 37mpg

Yet to do a long motorway journey.

Garage List
You'll need to have a good few thousand miles on the clock before the mpg really comes good...

I know, so it's looking very promising, plus it's cold at the moment, so hot weather should make a difference too!

Think there'll always be a big difference in town though!

I'm a Company Car driver so I can arrange upto 3 test drives via my Company Car provider, Arval. For the 330d, they arranged it via Dick Lovett. My A5 came from Spire Audi.

That's pretty good for a week old car. Out of interest is that from OBC readings or Brim to Brim?
