Have you seen this trailer yet? It's not for an actual movie or show, but basically a reimagining of what the show could look like today as a drama/more serious show:

Looking forward to the reunion show! The remake, not so much. What made the show great were the actors. New unknown actors with a dark theme is not what old fans of the show are looking for.

I would watch just to see what it's about. Don't remember Uncle Phil dying but it looks like everyone else is there.

As others mentioned, seems like this dark interpretation is pissing all over the light-hearted intention and comic genius of the original show. Maybe it plays out different in the show/movie but it seems like they have him meeting Jazz in L.A., Jazz was his boy since Philly.

Even if this remake does succeed, it falls on its face to carry on what the original show was trying to do.

Yeah, he passed several years ago. I thought Joseph Marcell (Jeffery) had died as well but I see that I'm wrong. He was one of my favorite characters on the show.

Ratings, views, the "I had fond memories of something so let's do it again for money." I like to refer to this as Spider Man syndrome. Hollywood's entire mo now. We did it once and it was semi-successful, let's just keep doing it again.

I think a lot of folks are confused. If you watch the first video, its clearly a one episode sit-down with the cast to go through memories of the show.

Some missed this part of the description of the second video...
