Holy cow that's a little steep for just a drop in air filter..... I think I'll wait till others buy it and weigh in on their initial impressions........ maybe a group buy is down the road.

Now we have 2 choices for air filters. Not that $15 or $20 is a big deal. We'll have to see how they compare. The quality of this one seems great.

1. If final price is less, you will be refunded difference.
2. If final price is more, preorders will not be charged any additional.

I think that is a pretty fair deal for a very high quality and well thought out filter I think the chances of the price decreasing are more probable then it increasing. I just had to protect myself for preorders as pricing is still up in the air a little.

I had that information before I stated that I thought the price was a little high. All I need are some test numbers confirming that this filter makes a difference for the money and I will buy it.

Here is dyno performed on 335i with catless exhaust and software:

You have the same N54 engine in the lighter 1-series. That makes for a great combination.

There are going to be a lot of guys modding this 1 series as the N54 engine is very tuneable and leaves alot of gains on the table for the taking. This dyno shows that it works very symbiotically with some basic tunes and that the filter works.

On a completely stock N54 car (135i, 335i, 535i), the gains are probably in the 5-7 rwhp range.

I have a feeling that I am starting to come across as argumentative, and for that I apologize. I agree that the engine is the same. I want to order your filter, but first I would like to remove the probably from the statements. All I would like to see is the gain on an Streamlined N54 from a stock N54.

far from argumentive...I know exactly where you are coming from...just doing your due diligence...

Hope I don't come off as too defensive, I am just passionate about Streamline and these filters...

I probably will not have that scenario tested out until some Streamline users take the liberty to perform that test. I could maybe contribute to someone from 1addicts to do that dyno.
