How often do you change your oil when you track?
Do you change your oil more frequently than the recommended service interval indicated by the computer when you track your car? If so, how often/how many track days?

I change more often for sure. About every 7k during track season and would change after track days. About seven minimum a season and try to do a lot more

I do.
Changed oil at 4200, and planning to change it after 10 half an hour track session regardless of the milage or after 5000miles whichever comes first. The car runs somewhat hot on the track, lots of time spent near the redline etc. It may be an overkill, I am not an expert, but I feel safer this way. (and the $140 extra per season is nothing compared to other track related expenses.) |

I just double the frequency of the service indicator so about every 11-12000 kms and close to when the car gets winter stored.I do about 10 trackdays a year.

Every 4 days at the track, given the heat and oil temps we see in Texas. Same for the racecar, and it holds 12 liters.
