As far as promos are concerned, this 20% off is probably the best we've seen in a long time from eBay. However, many sellers know about the promo and tend to jack up their pricing when promos like this pop up. They've done that with the previous "spend $XX get $15 off" promos and I caught one doing it today. I witnessed the price hike right as I was about to pull the trigger. Wasn't happy about it so I messaged the seller calling him out and told him he just lost a sale, lol. I was given a BS excuse but the seller agreed to partial refund me back in the amount of the price increase, so we'll see if he follows through.

I’ve purchased multiple things priced exactly as they were yesterday.

Pretty stupid for a seller to raise price, IMO, as it cost them nothing.

Also stupid seller(s) with auction ending in 3 days. Auctions are averaging $325-$345 for item. They had a buy it now which disappeared with first bid.

Offered $375 to end auction and sell it to me. They declined.

With discount, I could get new (not used one) for $360 today.

Idiotic sellers.

Either their bottom line is affected by these promos or they're just greedy. Regardless, this has been documented. For example, the cheapest MPE that was listed on eBay was $799 sold by some dealer in Chattanooga, TN.. until a few hours ago. When the seller/dealer realized the promo was happening today, I saw them jack up their price to $999. You can verify this yourself by comparing the below listing's price against the price in the feedbacks section for that item.

Point is, you need to get in early with your purchases when eBay does promos like this or you might not always save as much you could have.
