Yeh, last summer is when Discovery intially showed Top Gear episodes for the first time. Don't think you'll be seeing Top Gear on American television for a while unless you've got satellite.

I feel like I am missing something with the americanized version of Top Gear...sort of like euro clears

... been catching up with Top Gear on Google Video despite the atrocious quality

This really is a top rate show, the US auto shows (i.e. motorweek, car & driver TV etc) is just eons behind in creativity...same could be said for the printed publications.

You're right. Add on the awesome production and crazy footage, this show is in a class of its' own.

Well, it's pretty easy to go to one of the larger bittorrent sites (mininova or pirate bay come to mind) and download the UK episodes of Top Gear w/o all the editing they do to the ones they show in the US.
