Update:

Instead of starting a new thread, I figured I'd just use my old one. Got a chance to rig my camera up again. Unfortunately it was in broad daylight (again). I also put a small dent on my roof from the weight of the rig. The road was a little rough and I was pushing my car a bit too fast on some shots which caused the rig to bounce a bit too much. Photos were blurry so the dent didn't pay off. It should pop out pretty easily with a paintless dent removal service so it doesn't bother me too much. Anyways, here's one shot that came out okay:

This is my brother's RX-8. I think they turned out ok considering it was my first time doing this.

Here are a few more (I posted these ones in the 1addicts photo section):

Fuck you, I don't have mine yet

How was the clone stamping? Time consuming? Was it worth it? I might have a go at it once the month's up and I get some $$$!

Cloning out the rig can be a huge pain depending on where its setup. Then there's the reflection it casts across the car. I actually had to paint a lot of it out and sort of simulate reality. It's somewhat hard to tell unless you saw the original shot.

ahh I see, luckily the sky is so blown out that a majority of the rig is just being painted/cloned over w the white sky.

if the sky was exposed correctly (would have to be different lighting or close to dusk) it would be more of a pain in the ass....or even worse, if you were under a bridge or next to tall buildings.

Yea well the sky is easy to clone. Even buildings are fairly easy since lines are straight. The rig reflection on the car is the biggest pain.

If set up right all you do is push the car at 2 mph with the engine off as this causes vibration blur. At that speed not likely to do too much to the camera.

Judging from the photo of the rig set-up above, it looks like a 5D MkII with a 16-35mm (I'm guessing). The lens is too long to be a 10-22mm. If so, damn that is an expensive set-up to hang from a rig!!

Correct me if I'm wrong

Bumping my rig post because I added a new one up top (instead of starting a new thread).

You need to get stop-down filters. The overexposed sky isn't doing it for me, but it does make your job of editing the rig out easier

I use an 8x ND filter and at F22. It really needs to be late in the evening. And it doesn't help that my car is black.
