AI Servo, but on others I used one shot and had better luck. The AI servo in this body is not great, and ends up back focusing a lot. This heron was actually pretty far away and these ar 65% crops.

where are you in Norway?
On the southwest coast, in a town called Åkrehamn.

Google map 'akrasanden', and you will see where these pics are taken.

Here's one more from today.
This is not a sunset, but the middle of the day, 1 PM.
See how low the sun is on the horizon here in the winter, and further north it's no sun .

7D +10-22@16mm, 1/100th, f/5.6 ISO100 and CPL of course.

it is a nice shot. did you take it at 1/80th or 1/800th? looks too bright to have been a shutter that low, and not having IS it is pretty sharp. You must have rock steady hands.

UWA lenses are very forgiving with movement, IS or not.
Nice colors and beaches on your shots.

It was 1/80th, the CPL takes a lot of light at least 2 stops. And 1/80 is not a problem at 10mm.

took a wild shot in the dark at some types of editing i've never tryed.

thoughts opinions?

I can't really judge it myself as it's not something i'm used to doing or seeing. but i was going for a darker feel. (i'm normally bright and cheery :P )

also, the lighting isn't very dynamic, looks just like high key blasting right on top of her from the right.

hmmm... try adding some clarity and maybe even fill. also if you have any recovery being used dial it way back, there is no apparent white in the photo at all.
