Sorry, this may be the design's fault and not your renderings fault, but I really think it's pretty ugly, especially that front.

The rear tail lights kind of remind me of the current Honda CRV.

Im not a fan of this render because:

1. Looks like an X1, too similar.
2. It just takes elements of X5 LCI on it and thats all
3. taillights are not in "X" graphic as is on new car. I think that X look is coming to all X cars but can debate it.
4. The badge on trunk looks comically tiny. May be it was a stylistic choice, but looks a bit undersized vs the rest and what BMW puts out.

Thats my take on the render. But no offence meant to artist, I know you tried hard so keep at it.

I agree- x5 and x3 LCI didn’t really improve. Maybe that’s the point - new direction.

I like it. At least it's not hideous and out of proportion like most new BMW's. But there still needs to be a body color separation between the upper and lower sections of the grill.

But I'm sure it will have a long ipad for a dash which means no way I would buy one.

A decent attempt at a render.

The problem however, is that you used the U11 X1 as a basis, which is a FWD based platform.

The X3 is on the CLAR RWD based platform, so it definitely makes the proportions look strange, especially where the fender and the cabin/door meet. Therefore it makes it look FWD based, rather than RWD based as intended.

M-Performance G45 will now wear the M50i badge.

Very good rendering but IMO it's not going to look like this.

Personally I like the 2018-2020 X3 but at least they haven't ruined it

Wow - people are VERY hard to please it appears.

If you don't like the redesign - let's see you do better? Wow.

Have you not been following BMW design trends as of late? There are plenty of them that people are not fond of.

I'm not an automotive design engineer as I doubt any of us here are. It's not our job or usually within our ability to come up with designs. There are plenty of BMW designs that I love, unfortunately that rendering is not one of them.

How do you like it?

Looks like it went down market. It looks like a 1.5 scale X1 😐

I think the tailgate is too much like the X4 which I’ve never liked.

I still think the 2018ish X3’s look fantastic. The LCI is also nice but I prefer the front of the original X3M.
