11 135i to (1 Series M) to 12 TTRS
Bought a 11 135i in 2011. Right after that the 1M was launched and I put in a down payment the day after it released in the news. A year later and still no car as the dealership couldn't acquire one... And they were dragging feet on getting me my deposits so I'd order another BMW, they were wanting me to take an M3... Not a chance.
Fed up we started looking for a larger car for the wife. Mercedes, Volvo, Audi and the newly redesigned 3 series. She liked the Audi A5 and I tried to get her into the S5... No go. But afte test driving all brands she liked the Audi. After chatting with the sales I was excited to hear the TTRS was comming over. So I talked the wife into letting me get it and her waiting on her car. This is how it came out 8 months later: picked it up in July... |

Too bad they don't offer the auto version here, I hear it is a bit quicker. Also, not a fan of the red on the wheels but that's just me. Nice car either way!

I ordered this one from the factory. Unless you meant a similar car.

The wheels look a lot better than the crap silver color... Just didn't look right on black. I ordered the carbon fiber mirrors for the same reason. Thanks for the props... I love how this car handles and launches! |

The next best thing I have driven would have been my 1995 3000GT VR-4. But this is quite a step above that. The road is part of the car and the hood has eyes (to paraphrase). It is phenomenal, I haven't put it into a situation I have felt sketchy in yet, and I drive hard.
And yes, I can get the back end to flick if I try! |

The RS line from Audi is always impressed to me. I have seen a couple ttrs and just a RS5 last night. Congratulations on your new car. Enjoy it and be safe. Happy new year to you and your family.

Love it. Manual only makes it that much better. I actually prefer it to the RS5 or any Audi besides the R8 to be honest. I would love to drive one and hear it.

They had an RS5 at the local dealership... Looks stunning, but not as sleek. It's heavy, and not as quick because of the weight. I prefer a smaller tossable car. Bu would have been great for the wife's family car duties.

I love that Audi has the balls to release the car and make it faster than their other cars that are more expensive. I wish BMW would've taken that lesson and made the 1m what it could've been. They could've gotten 400hp from that motor with 400+ft.lbs. of torque, but it would've trounced the M3 and they couldn't have that.
I think it out performs the rs5 and the base r8. Well played my friend. APR is top notch tuner too. I had their stuff on my VW and loved it. |

I don't know about the R8... There is a vid of them in the twisties and the TTRS keeps pace, but can't leave behind or pull ahead. Even match, drivers race, but I wouldn't go as far to say outperforms. Easily more tunable an then outperforms, hell yes!
The RS5 I have yet to see a comparo drive, but the S5 gets left in the dust for sure. |

Yeah, with all the motor that put in the cars they add sooooo much more weight. I don't like that and that is what ruins the cars.
The sound is good, I don have sport exhaust. Ill be getting the Borla system when I get the APR STG3 kit, probably before tha though. |

Fabulous..... just like a proper Audi should.
They just need to put the engine in a 'proper' Audi chassis - swb, all ally version of the S5 will do the job

Sick car! This is what you'll be looking forward to with the APR kit and this one "only" had 450hp and pulled an e60 M5 with mods.
