What did you pay for, vs your PARENTS.
This came out of a discussion on how much of the car was paid for by other family members, rather than the poster.

My deal is complicated because it is a company car. They paid the $AU87,000 up front, and I pay $AU30,000pa for the next 4 years out of my pre-tax salary. They fully maintain, insure and fuel the vehicle, so I have no other expenses to bear, and over the 4 years it will cost me $AU120,000 gross, but $AU60,000 out of my hand because of the tax I will save.

Our 325 comes more highly specified than yours, because it isn't our base model - that honour goes to the 320.

I am not so lucky like Jamie who car spend can be free from tax.
i m gonna pay 100% this time as US base interest rate is too high for any loans. We have many options being counted as standard. The payable options I have added are AS and AHL only. The 330i I ordered is ~US$68500 here incl. tax. Appended inventory list of my car. I am curious , see if anyone can tell me which features in our standard package is a payable options in USA? And how much? thx

The mopney that is being spent by your truly for the BMW (lease-makes sense where I live) comes from the hard work of yours truly.
Of course the more time I spend on the forums during the day results in more time working to catch up at night |

Oops, I thought this was a downpayment poll ... technically I'm paying 100% myself. But I didn't put anything down. At 5% interest I'm not using any of my cash reserves on something that depreciates that fast ... plus I'm in the process of remodelling the house. I need all the cash I can for overruns and my wife's "upgrades".

You go and buy a 330i in germany, e.g. Munich (about 20 kms from the factory where it is built). 330i stock : EUR 36,600 = USD 43,550 incl. 16% tax and you donīt, I repeat do not get: -steptronic (but 6spd manual) -automatic air conditioning w seperate zones (just air conditioning) -bi xenon -dakota leather (but cloth) -electric seat adjustment -electric glass sunroof -alarm -wood veneer or aluminium trim (but plastic fake ugly "titanium") -6 cd changer -Hifi loudspeaker (just normal crap speakers w/o amp) -exteriour folding mirrors -lights package -metallic colour -PDC front + rear (none of it) -rain sensor and automatic lights -sports steering wheel (but normal leather wheel) and of course you donīt get none of the options which cntlaw opted for (see attached list): -active steering -active headlights -comfort access system -cruise control -logic 7 -sport seats -sport suspension -folding down rear seats. If you want all that, no problem! Just cash another EUR 16,840 = USD 20,040 incl. 16% tax which means in total: EUR 53,440 = USD 63,590 incl. 16% tax but without delivery. Isnīt that total crazyness?!? Last edited by Dante; 12-15-2005 at 12:51 PM.. |

ohhhh, I thought you were asking how much we've already paid for, so I voted for 20%. I'm paying for the whole damn thing, well all the lease payments plus my down, and insurance for my dad too since he's using his name to get tax break for his business. Somehow he ends up with the benefit and I gotta pay for his insurance.
