Bmw m235i or a 2013 m5

I’m looking to buy something reliable but yet something that also can be potentially fast in the future for future upgrades i’ve been looking at a 2016 m235i and also a 2013 m5

235i should be more reliable and cheaper to maintain. I would go for the M5, but I DIY so my operating costs are less. For you, I would go a year or two newer in a 2 or 3 series to get a B58 engine. It has proven reliable and has more potential.

Yeah i’ve been looking for the m240i’s for atleast a week and they’re so hard to find the ones that are similar to my budget have convertibles and i dislike convertibles
