Someone suspect that he used a helmet with a too big size - because of his very long hair.
I do not know - maybe the locking system of his helmet has failed - this is my opinion. Anyhow the energy of the impact to him was that intense, that I believe that he could not survive this accident anyway. So sorry about that. |

It looks like Rossi ran over his neck, devastating seeing how they were close friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires now.

There is a certain quote from Simoncelli that people are posting all over the web. Not sure what the original source was, but it seems to be bringing comfort to a lot of people.
When asked if he was afraid of dying in an accident, Simoncelli apparently responded: "No. You live more for five minutes going fast on a bike like that, than other people do in all of their life." |

Looks like he was dropped by the marshals carrying him on the stretcher.
I know the marshals do racing a great service by volunteering to be there, but shouldn't they have more strict procedures when it comes to something like this? When Senna had his accident Sid Watkins was immediately on site and he was airlifted to a hospital, Marco was just thrown on a stretcher while being dropped and rushed to an ambulance.
