I see your point but I still feel that ///M still feels exclusive. People can tell the difference when looking at one, especially in a louder color like Yas Marina Blue.

Plus, if anything AMG is more diluted and Audi has barely even had any RS models, 95% of people probably don't even know that Audi has ever had a competitor to ///M and AMG products.

But yeah, I've started to have more affinity for cars like Porsche or Jag F type because they are more "exclusive." Flashier and more fun to drive. The ///M4 has just become too expensive.

Compared to Porsche and Jaguar, how can the M cars be too expensive? Unless you are comparing them to Boxsters and base F-Types which are different cars for different purposes. Porsche closes sibling to the sport sedan is the Panamera, which is not a competitor for the M3/4. Perhaps you have moved beyond what the M3/4 are built for? You want a sporty coupe? Then of course, Porsche and Jaguar will have something more suited for you. That is not to say it is too expensive just because it no longer fits your needs. It fits the needs of others just fine actually. Compared to other sports sedans in the segment, it's priced suitably. These aren't Audi S4's and AMG C43 after all.

m cars are exclusive because they look awesome and drive awesome. That puts them in the top 1% of cars in my book.

You probably hated it when Porsche announced they were doing a 4 door sedan and an SUV. Yet it turned out to be one of the best things they ever did because... wait for it... car companies are in the business of making money!

You want exclusive? Go get a McLaren F1 LM. Number produced: 5. Chances are, you won't run into another one... ever. For the record, I see quite a few "M" styled cars but actual M cars, not quite as many. And I live in a very affluent area. However, when I do see another one, I tend to get excited as I love the brand and not depressed about it. And this car being my 3rd M3, I suppose I'm really diluting the "exclusive" pool.

Good luck.

The M is exclusive enough for me. I get people complementing it all the time. What am I going to do - drive a Ferrari every day to work? :-)

I think if you want to be exclusive you should find an old 850 V12 and restore it or buy an old Lightweight M3 or an older M3 CSL. Personally I think the styling of anything after the E46 M3 isn’t that exciting

That's why beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I had a 2006 E46 M3 and loved it, but I love the styling of my M4 also. The styling of the M4, to me, is just as exciting if not more exciting than the E46 M3. Just my opinion.

I have never considered the M cars to be exclusive, just fun to drive.

But I am past that now, and just want some comfort with "above average" sports sedan.

You know what is exclusive? Hermes bags. Having the money to buy Hermes birkin, Constance and Kelly bags for the wife. But the f’ing store won’t sell me the overpriced dead animal skin. So I get to hear about it every day.

Now BMW’s I’m happy everyone can enjoy it. If you bought an expensive car to show how big your balls are... I can guarantee you someone out there will always have bigger balls than you. Applies to houses watches anything materialistic you can think of.

So enjoy your cars. Don’t worry about elephantitis balls

Actually, just being able to buy a new 3 series is something the better majority of the population cannot do, and will never be able to do in their lifetime.

I bought my M2 to drive it, love it! Could have bought and M4 just fine.

if ur set on being exclusive and having something all other m owners do not have, the let the mods begin, customize ur car to how you like it. but at then end of the day u should only be doing it for urself. i dont have an m so in my opinion just having an m brand car or actually just being apart of the bmw community is still something in itself.

If you want exclusive, there are still exclusive M's out there, try the M760 if nothing else works for you or perhaps spring for an Alpina. You dont see those very often.

If BMW doesn't do it for you there's a ton of other brands that will take gladly take your 200k plus to give you the exclusivity you want.

If those don't work you may want to register on a G650 (gulfstream not Benz) forum. Now thats exclusive.

Now excuse me I have to go replace a HPFP in my exclusive M3.

Ah, springtime, when all the snowflakes begin to melt. Don't despair OP, you can console yourself with those 'You Are Special' ribbons that your teachers gave you.

You'd be guessing very wrong my friend. More M cars than regular BMW's in Miami? Come on, read your post again. Unless you are telling us that you live on Hibiscus island or Palm Island and you were referring very specifically to that part of Miami.
