I could do the Costa Brava, where the weather, wine, and food are very good.

Plus, it's a short hop to Southern France for more of the same. Sign me up!

I got married in Ibiza. Only vacation I’ve ever had where I didn’t want to leave. Had a blast.

If I lived on the East coast I'd be in Europe several times a year. Slightly envious of you folks on that side of the country.

I live in California and go to Europe several times a year. There’s only a 5-6 hours difference in terms of flight time from West Coast to Europe vs East Coast to Europe. Trying to expand my horizon so been hitting up South America as of late (still takes a long ass time to get to places like Argentina, for example), otherwise I’d be in Europe all the time. I really like it there.

For me that's a significant difference in flight time. But nice thing with California there are so many other redeeming qualities making it a desirable place to live. Plus my upcoming flight to Cabo is just a couple hours.

It's a terrific country to visit and, I'm fairly sure, to live in, too.

I understand that it can be and have looked at the historical weather data for other parts of Spain we've yet to visit where it does get and stay quite hot.

However, as we tell ourselves here in certain parts of the States when it's way too hot to go and stay outside: "At least it's a dry heat!"

Moving right along, below is the historical average temperature data for the part of Catalonia that we favor (full disclosure, we only went once for a couple of weeks in June, and it's the only part of Spain to which we've traveled).

Climatically, Begur felt like we were in La Jolla, California at the same time of year, and that is most certainly not too shabby. Climatically-speaking, of course!

That's not a bad average for Begur,Catalonia in June for Spain and certainly bearable with the 75f, just under 24C.
