I just visited BMW World for my ED and I got to sit it and look at the 135 coupe up close. It is considerably smaller than the 3 and should be an awesome performer. The one pictured here has the M package on it which may or may not be on the US version. The seats are fantastic, superior to my 335 sport pkg. I am tall but fit inside - small but the perfect Coupe. I am going to go out on a limb and make some fearless predictions.

-This car is going to be an instant classic
-A favorite with the tuners - forget the Evo and the STI
-M3 like performance for half the price

If you were on the fence about a 335 coupe or fretting about the price of a new M3, put your down payments in now.

I also looked at the 1 series 4 door - really ugly and the 1 series hatchback - great looking with the sport package.

They have one at the New England Auto Show in Boston. I am sure it's very quick and a blast to drive but it really doesn't look handsome from most angles right next to a 3 series coupe IMO. It's also quite expensive and not that far away in prize from a 3 series. I wonder where it's going to fit in.
