wtf my task bar is f'd

alright so i have no idea why, but my volume, network and battery icons have vanished from my taskbar. ive looked up fixes for it, but i havent found anything decent. i was wondering if anyone could help me out. thanks in advance

Mine disappeared yesterday as well, you can search for attempted fixes, but none of them worked on mine.

it fixed itself. i tried restarting my laptop initially and nothing happened so i made the thread and called it a night. when i woke up and rebooted, it was there. idk why it didnt fix itself the first time, but im not complaining. thanks for all the help, though. i appreciate it

vista isnt that bad...as long as you know how to use it...yes SP 2 aka windows 7 will help...but it still will be in new form, and that comes with bugs as well

Windows 7 will suck also. When my budget allows it, i'll get a Macbook Pro.

I accidentally the whole task bar. The whooole thing. I dunno what to do? I restarted my computer, reformatted my computer, made sure all my drivers were up to date.

go into the registry like i said on the 3rd post..., or just save all ur info and a PHD, and wipe it, always good to wipe the comp clean every year or so...since all the "deleted" files that are really just compressed...as well as an abundance of cookies and what not
