The T2i shares its sensor with the 7D, so you might look toward a 5D Mk? addition to the pack in the next year or so and keep the T2i. I wouldn't move up to a 7D unless you start getting deep into sports photography, which could very well happen when you get a look at those stunning 70-200mm images. Dave

stick with what you have, try out some different lenses and be amaized at what the lenses can do. The camera bodies are the most disposable part of a camera, so don't worry so much about them as you do the glass. your T2i can shoot similar wildlife shots to what dave posts up, however it's his glass that's making those shots great along with his talent (almost stuck my foot in my mouth by accident there) and as you acquire excellent glass, you'll be creating a collection that will eventually go well with a full frame camera when you're ready for more depth of field and vignetting. |

where was that shot? nice clear water! Great looking shot too, and very sexy.
I do see what you're saying about the water magnification on the feet kinda messing with the eyes however. one critique if i may, it's very very very centered. |

yeah had to do it that way because of sizing requirements... I'd have rather cropped off the bottom 1/8th of the image to put her lower in the frame.
oh and the water is clear cuz its chlorinated... pool water |

Can you do some post-processing effects? Or is this a strict b&w assignment?

It's actually ground fog. The vapor trails were lifting and slowly drifting across the fields like the ghosts of soldiers. I didn't quite capture them as well as I would have liked.

When I was in the air cav I was flying in an OH-58 Kiowa with the doors off and the pilot and I saw some virga rain off in the distance. I told him it was rain and he wouldn't believe me, so he flew over and actually flew into the stream. Needless to say, we got wet. Just one small area of rain in an otherwise dry sky. The ground under the rain spout was dry. It all evaporated before hitting the ground.

You might try B&W and up the contrast considerably.

Thanks. I keep waiting to see the silhouettes of Allied soldiers approaching in a crouch.
