Nice shot, Dave. Negligible noise for 1600 ISO.

I was in a deep wood, about 25-min before sunset, with only bits of light coming through. Hence, the high ISO, +2/3EV, big f/4 aperture and only 1/250-sec. BTW, hand held with 500mm focal length and 1.6x crop factor.

Most of the visible noise is in the bokeh, where I don't think that it does any harm. The 7D is really excellent at high-ISO.

Thanks, and it's one I ordered a while back, just took a bit to track down. I'm bad when it comes to hobbies. I don't have many more watches that I have my sights on, so this hobby will soon be coming to an end. The movement in it is gorgeous, I haven't looked at all my shots yet to see how they turned out, stay tuned.

Is it the Zenith 36,000 beats per hour movement?

I believe all the El primero versions do, but I could be wrong.

I was originally looking at the Striking 10th which was able to measure to a 10th of a second, but it just wasn't pretty

So I grabbed the one that looks way better and could be had for half the price. Sort of a win, win.

A watch collection I started when I was about 15

I think the cheapest might be about 100$ Canadian But that was a few years back and we were probably 0.60 to the US1$

But at this point, might be stting around 20 watches

the little 3 pointed thing rotates as well, it's the second indicator.

the back, sorry it's a bit dark, if I go much light the noise starts to bug me....

and no, it's not totally clean, there's a smudge from a sticker and some chipped paint from the desk top it's on... (just realized maybe I should sand that desk down, might be lead based paint...)

I've got a couple big watches. And when I mean big, I mean I have these two...

The Renato T-Rex Grand Diver and the Invicta Subaqua Noma IV. The Renato is 330 grams of stainless steel and the Invicta has gotta be more

Thanks, I'm pleased, I also had them ship a dark brown band with it, so it gives it a bit more of a vintage look with the fairly mono toned face.

I hear ya, my biggest is a 50mm but the Panerai I have is a 47 which I have a weird suspicion may actually be bigger then my 50mm due to it's massive case. Every watch wears differently.

nice sized collection. Mine basically covers the head of my bed. between my watch case like yours and my 4 piece watch winder, and then a few watch boxes that look pretty. It's a mess. I plan on cleaning things up a bit.

I sometimes find random watches waiting for me the next morning just sitting on my couch because I took it off there the night before.

I also have 1 randomly sitting in my window sill because it's a solar powered citizen Which with all honesty, I don't think fits me anymore and I don't think I'll find the spare links to. (got it when I was a teen... ohhh so long ago)
