I'm both pissed and sad today, after receiving third-party news about my late (COVID) best friend's former live-in partner (had to go there) that has estranged herself from every one of my friend's family/friends since his passing.
The estate let her keep my friend's three dogs, to comfort her during her grieving. One of those dogs was our OCD Psycho Dog's sister from the same litter. Anyway, we found out today that she had all three perfectly-healthy dogs put down a few months ago, because caring for them cramped her new party-girl lifestyle.  My DW and I would have adopted OCD Psycho Dog's sister in a heartbeat if we knew, and my late-friend's family would have taken the other two.I don't use this term often, but that fscking BITCH had the dogs murdered because she was too cheap to pay the fees for the local animal shelters to take them in! Heaven forbid something cut into her drinking/party money.....

Aslan and Abby who have both “crossed the rainbow bridge” and my current two, my little girl, Lucy, about 8 or 9, and my tom, Dashy, who just turned one. Dashy is the one with the white patches on his back. I love dachshunds, but living in an apartment in Chicago I just can’t do the going outside multiple times a day.

End of the adventure. Our puppies have been going off to their new homes (hopefully, their forever homes) over the last week. This pack of puppies have been very special for reasons I won't get into, and we're a little sad to see them go. Fortunately, most are staying in the area so we'll be able to watch them grow up.

So this little ball of fluff passed his AKC Therapy Dog test on Sunday. First in the family to get and is the kindest GSD you'll ever meet. Proud of the stud
 It won't be used for anything...just keeping the pups entertained. He'll go on to to Advanced and Urban training like the other two.

A few OCD psycho dog pictures, since cmyx6go has apparently never seen him. He sure does look sweet when posing for the camera, and is a total flirt around women. Just don't let him see anything moving, or it's game on!!!!!
   I have one of him in his younger days sitting under my race car hauler in the shade, but I can't find it right now.....

He presents as-pictured about 90% of the time, but turns into a Tasmanian Devil when something sets him off. Smartest dog I've ever seen though, who knows his colors, how to count, understands long sentences, and even tries to talk but gets frustrated when he can't make S or T sounds. He is also a super-flirt around women, and I have a running joke with my DW that the dog and I are going to the mall to look for a younger mommy whenever she says that she feels old. (He is 100% her dog, though.) On the cat front, he used to get along with a neighbor's late cat down the road. We honestly believe that he doesn't know that he's a dog, and is fine with most animals his size as long as they don't move suddenly so he doesn't switch into hunter mode and start chasing them like a psycho dog.....
