The house is finally cooled down to a comfortable 72F, with the help of the central a/c. Temp outside is 85, just after 10 pm.
Been enjoying a nice bottle of red zinfandel, watching some late night US Open Tennis. Daniil Medvedev, the 2021 Mens US Open Tennis champ just won his 3rd round match. He'll be playing Nick Kyrgios next on Sunday. Can't wait for that one. Life is good again.

Plumber came over Saturday; I expected a 4-hour session just to tear shit up and tell me how much it will cost (wife blew out the drain trying to unclog it, and by all appearances it was ruptured at the stack). Turns out it was a totally corroded intermediate pipe, and he had it completely fixed in about an hour.

While not strictly today, but this did bring a smile to my face just now. Pops sent me pics of his recent fishing trip and of a halibut he hooked. my cousin had to finish landing it for him but not bad for having triple bypass surgery in April.
