Saw this today, I was sitting behind him in traffic and didn't notice the ///M until it was almost too late to take a picture. Made me laugh though.

Laugh it all off but the most shameful fakers of all is ... bmw !!
With their dillution of the M motorsport branch purposefully confusing the market with M235i, X5M, X4M when it should be exclusively reserved to M cars.

No other brand does this kind of sh|t, and so i declare to the top price of Shame goes to : BMW MARKETING.

So, the 2.0T and 3.0T being supercharged isn't confusing after years of the T standing for turbo?

If I had the time to, I'd love to prove you even more wrong about branding/marketing/etc...but, it's pointless.

There's no X4 M (unless you mean the X4 M40i) which isn't the same as an X5 M in terms of dilution since it's actually an M model.

Sure they do. Audi sells "S Line" versions of their normal A6 (it has upgrades), Cadillac sells "V Sport" versions of the CTS, and Lexus has their "F-Sport" range of cars as well.

I think F-sport (Pre RCF, GSF) from Lexus is better received than M-Sport from BMW. It appears that everybody in the Lexus community understands that a GS350 F sport is nothing like the now-GSF. However, a large mass of people (new-comers mostly) can't get past that their 335i M-sport =/= M3. It's understood that F-sport is merely an appearance package with slight differences (mostly aesthetic), no why BMW owners can't understand why M-sport =/= M, that I'll never figure out...

Rolled by a 328i that replaced it's badge with and M3 one. Pretty funny stuff. He saw me at the red light and looked a little embarrassed.
