It looks bad. Nothing looks like it goes together; not the paint, not the wing, the wheels, the front lip, the colors, nothing. Even that "GTS" badge looks like a total afterthought. "Oh yea lets put this badge on so people know it's the GTS"
I'll take alekshop's M4 build any day! |

In the world of performance track cars, where function always comes before form. Don't worry, you wouldn't know anything about it.
It's hilarious that people who own 1M coupes and Vipers are calling this car ugly. And that others would prefer a lousy poseur tuner car over this, completely not getting the purpose of this car. The amount of fail on these forums recently just boggles the mind.

But for a track car, all these aero addenda are absolutely essential. All the other parts sold by these tuners on the forum may be pretty, but are totally useless, they may even hurt performance let alone enhance it. So if I want my car to go faster on track, yes I'll take the ugly wing, spoiler and whatnot. I'll take under 20lbs wheels in any color, even mismatched colors, it really doesn't matter. Would I buy this car if I had $140k spare change for a track toy? Probably not, and neither would I buy a GT3. I'd buy an actual secondhand race car, or something like a Radical or Atom.

Hey guys,
BMW Auto Glen just got the GTS in today from Sandton Auto, I was lucky enough to put my M4 next to the GTS for a couple of shots. I can say that the tone of the GTS is a bit deeper than an M4 with M perf exhaust however nothing too special (almost like it is de-catted). In addition the car definitely has a presence but the orange rims and front lip just don't do it for me. The OLEDs are truly beautiful though and the carbon hood is magnificent. Some of the shots make a nice comparison to the stock M4. Enjoy!

M4 GTS Revving
BMW M4 vs M4 GTS Very difficult to tell the two apart, however I can tell you my phone did not capture that the M4 GTS is a bit deeper in the lower revs.

The paint, the wheels, and the wing all look atrocious. A different color combination on some parts and a redesigned wing that flows better with the contours of the car would have made this a truly impressive vehicle.

What the hell is with the orange bits and bobs. . . and on the wheels? Eww. And this is coming from someone with an orange m3!
I agree with all of the above sentiment that the parts all look added on and don't flow with the design of the car. They actually look like they've been self tapping screwed on at that!

Those who think nothing sounds good at idle need a quick listen to this:
(oh, and check your car-snobbery at the door; the last 5 cars I've bought new were 3 BMWs and 2 Porsches -- I still know something freaky when I stumble across it, irrespective of the badge) |
