Thanks Adrean.

I invest a lot of time in photography. Luckily, the results are getting closer and closer to what's in my head.

Also, I enjoy the hours of sitting and waiting, or chasing, or climbing, or whatever's needed to get to the shot. You need to know your equipment, but the most important key I find in wildlife photography is knowing the subjects and then coming back over and over and failing over and over, but enjoying it all the while, until you get the shot that you've been dreaming of.

You might enjoy this guy's work. The moose and critters in NH seem to regard him as a friend. It's amazing how close he can get to them without spooking them.

Yes, very nice stuff. Thanks for the link.

Part of my family were early settlers in NH from England around 1620. I didn't realize that the wildlife was so rich there. I need to plan a trip.

The key to many of those shots is spending a lot of time and knowing where the animals are likely to be. He doesn't provide much background, but it looks like he lives very near where many of those images were taken. The right lens helps a ton.

Bill's been one of my Flickr Contacts for several months. He's got lots of great stuff.

There's lots and lots of pure junk on Flickr, but if you search around a little you'll find lots of treasure. One thing I do is when I find a user that uploads stuff that I like, then I look at their Contacts. They'll tend to connect with people with similar interests and skills. Once a day I go to Contacts/Recent Uploads and see several really nice, brand new images, almost every day.

You can unilaterally make someone a Contact, unless they block you. Once you've identified someone as a Contact, then you can have Flickr show you recent uploads.

saw so many awesome skiiers out at Steamboat this year but NO boarders. However it was early in the season and the pipe and park weren't fully constructed yet.
