Yeah, I have an awesome wet rub that I make, but I'm not sure if its simple. Only takes maybe 10 minutes to put together and most of that is peeling the garlic.

Just not sure if I want to share....my wife thinks I should market the rub and sell it. But I don't see the money in it.

Maggi Sauce is an option.

I usually make a marinade from Montreal Steak seasoning. I make it both with or without soy sauce depending on the meat quality and/or how I feel.

This, or Soy sauce, kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper and a little garlic powder (may also be able to use minced fresh garlic, but don’t go overboard with it).

Be very careful with fresh garlic on a hot grill, burned garlic is no good, garlic powder is the direction I would go for grilling.

Now, a roasted garlic compound butter for serving would be very good indeed.

Treagers are great, I have had one for somewhere around 15 years.

You will be able to make some great food on it. Enjoy!

My brother has an egg, and a couple of friends of mine also have eggs. I am interested in one, but I have plenty of other new toys to 'master'

I have had some very good pulled pork out of an egg.

I already have a pressure cooker for pulled pork.

Maybe I need new "cowboy boots" more than an egg. Can't decide on ostrich or alligator

haha, I thought it was spam but clicked anyway and it definitely looks cool! I am not sure how the convection part works unless there is a fan circulating air or something like that.... and getting all of the hangers and baskets seems expensive. Dang cool idea though.

I am lazier so the auto regulated temperature, auto feed fuel, etc really sold me on the Traeger. Cooked some corn, brussel sprouts and steaks last night and have to say I'm impressed!!

I do this now with my gas grill. By setting the outside burners a bit higher than the middle ones, I not only don't burn the meat, it also creates some circulation under the lid.

Even with a plain Weber grill: spread the coals around the outside edge of the bottom, less in the middle. The higher heat rises on the sides and creates some circulation.

My father had a mouse make a little home in his grill last winter. He had to completely rebuild it as the rodent destroyed the inside of the grill.

Maybe go with a grill that can be completely sealed after use like an egg?

Nah I have a nice built in webber Summit, not gonna mess with that. I have resorted to covering the grill (and the griddle i added 'cos Australian and we do onions/eggs/bacon etc) with foil to see if there's any evidence of the little fuckers.

Nothing for a few weeks now but we will see.

I'm going to make meself A great big burger on the grill. I've got 93% ground beef, Kaiser rolls lettuce and sliced cheese. Anybody have any suggestions to liven up the ground beef?
