The actual 'time' piece is very small, I remember Kimi's diamond encrusted watch which I prefer.

Yeah the rainfall was extreme at the 2021 Belgian F1 GP .

In 2021 we got for a long period of time extreme high temps and droughts , then the ground becomes too hard and the rain flows over the ground by extreme rainfall and thunderstorms followed by high water and mud flows.

Last year we got it twice ,the first time we got 41 deadly victims in Belgium .
The 2021 Belgian summer was a disaster - It was a dead trap - May they RIP !
#NeverForget !!!

One thing is for sure : From what we witnessed , the climate change is real ..
But the locals say the SPA track has his own climate , and often It's rain ..

Same for the Mercedes front wing : It's the most flexible front wing of the field .
My understanding is it’s not the floor they are talking about and the stay you highlighted. its the run down the center with the wood plank that RB is way out of spec on and Ferrari is borderline. while its not cheating technically since the rules omitted exact specificity. The rules were conveyed clearly the floor needs to be one piece and cannot have more than 2mm flexibility in the car chassis/floor. RB discovered loophole that they measured only two points at the front of the 1/3rd of thr plank, then they broke the plank it two parts where the rear had at-least 6mm of flex which greatly improves tolerance against porpoising and allows them to run lower with greater aero advantage. This is a 3x greater than maximum spec. RB was specifically called out by FIA that they need to fix their car…. Also why Horner fought the mid-year rule change. Deadline given to RB and the field in general was for France, but is now delayed to Hungary where they will be DQ’d if it’s not resolved.

Yeah Christian / RB has said they don’t need to do anything on the floor, not us move on. Then oh the floor, yeah we are fcked we need to fix that as we look it to the limit and beyond.

At least Ferrari said from the off.

As for front wing flex the top three are all doing it, they have even designed the joint to allow them to slid under higher loads and to print back. Watching them on TV I saw it was rated RB worst, then Merc then Ferrari.

Shame Ferrari have made some of the new engines out of butter would have been interesting seeing them fight but reliability might kill them. Will be interesting to see if Merc update the hybrid bits before they are locked down seems like they have work to do on that front.

The Ferarri engine has only had turbo issues this year, the engine is actually solid. Granted loosing a turbo is a catastrophic DNF, they are learning a ton and the car has serious potential for this year and many to come. I believe this is the first year for Ferrari to switch to a different turbo design. It’s slipping my mind on the details, but I believe they always ran a less popular version of a turbo, and this year they moved to the same type as the other teams, which is higher performance and so that comes with a learning curve.

I’m gonna optimistically guess that Carlos’ car was maxed out last week to get a ceiling and see if it would fail under heavies load, they pushed it just 0.5% too much! now they need to back it down and improve the reliability of the turbo.

While they have had multiple race issues with their powerplant, it’s actually just the turbo and they should be able to resolve that fairly easily… turbo’s mostly blow because of lubrication issues given their 125K RPM. Better lubrication, bearings could not only fix their issues but give the car even more power.

That’s just Christian being himself - there’s a reason RB was the ONLY team to oppose introducing the clarification, new rules and new flex metric. And a reason RB was specifically named in the FIA document as one of two teams out of spec and had configured the car to circumvent the intention of the new specs and rules.

Never put much trust in any words Christian says.

Do you know who Shaila-Ann Rao is ?
• What she did ?
• Why she did it ?
• To help who ?
• She acted on behalf of whom ?

=> https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-news/f...ng-ecclestone/

HAM : Man ..."This is so dangerous" !

And HAM's back was broken by the extreme bouncing Mercedes but Shaila-Ann Rao got crucial information what Mercedes could do about the bouncing .
Shaila-Ann Rao had a mission , and her client was Toto Wolff . One race later the Mercedes was suddenly a lot faster and HAM's back pain disappeared completely ...
It was clear as water : Mercedes was tipped !
With the help from Shaila-Ann Rao and the FIA .
Mission accomplished ?
Not completely ...

2 races later : The Mercedes was/is still not fast enoungh to beat Red Bull and Ferrari , so Wolff came up with a new (master) plan and a mission..
Wolff's new mission is to screw the faster teams by pushing the FIA with new anti-bouncing regulations because Man .. "This is so dangerous" !
The FIA's new bouncing (porpoising) regulation is a floor flex of max. 2 mm , according to Wolff there are other teams with a floor flex of 6 + mm .
IMO . A flexing floor is not dangerous . Porpoising is dangerous !

If these (faster) teams must change the floor , the cars will bounce even more and they must increase the ride height to fix it . OC. that makes them a lot slower .
And that is exactly what Wolff wants .

That's Wollf's next target : "If you can't beat them , just make them slower"

IMHO . It's actually corruption coming from Wolff's side , and the whole situation is a shame for motorsports !

The show must go on ...

I don’t doubt toto is doing everything he can to close the gap, including lobbying. It does sound like he exposed a loop hole of RB and Ferrari. Either way it’s all OK IMO and I am glad they are doing something about porpoising because that has to be brutal on drivers.

Let us not forget , for teams like Ferrari and Red Bull all the development efforts and research to fix the porpoising costed Hundreds of Millions Dollars during the winter stop ..

Wolff bought it by using 'Corruption !
That is Mercedes ...

^^ The years of corruption also before by bringing in hybrids fooling F ia, with huge PU build advantage and Merc winning championships like a walk in the park robbing RB,Ferrari,Haas and others of championship status in the constructors and drivers.

Horner has responded to Wolff's comments on the RB18 floor as total rubbish.
The way Wolff has described how the flexing could be on RB's floor is beyond reasoning according to Christian but all RB fans should know that the Merc team boss has been there far too long and is just a drama merchant.
