Here is the thing. F1 is a business, and at the tip top is a massive shark. You may know him as Mr. Bernie Ecclestone.
The pursuit of a lasting US GP is to tap the money pit that is the US Market. With the US would come marketing, branding, car sales via manufacturer deals and promotions. All of the teams want in on it, but to really understand it you have to separate the sport we all love from the business that runs it behind the scenes.

Is Austin dead, or just for 2012? And yes, with the world economy in the toilet, and freaking Ecclestone a billionaire already, you'd think a smart person would ease their ridiculous fees a bit for the good of the sport, but apparently money always comes first. What a shame.
At least NJ is a done deal, right? |

ive given up on Austin, already planning a trip to Montreal for 2012, its the closest to an F1 race we'll get, I'm still not sold on NJ, we dont need another boring street circuit. Unless they somehow make it epic
