My new 335i
So I have had an E36 M3, and an E36 318i M-package.
After years riding motorcycles and driving a jeep around...I caught the bug again. So after looking around FOREVER for an E46 330 ZHP 6 speed...I stumbled across a single owner, right at blue book, 2007 335i 6M. After running the insurance numbers I realized that it was barely 30 dollars more a month than a ZHP (perks of getting old?) and I had to take a look at it. After a test drive, and talking with the owner I had to buy it. Perfect interior, what you would expect from 7 years of wear exterior wise. It has 96k, which would scare most people off, but it has had everything you could think of fixed at the dealer under warranty: New Turbos at 40k Secondary Oil Cooler Water Pump New Injectors New Coils New VANOS intake flap (something was sticking) New steering rack Total Brake overhaul HPFP replaced under recall All new tires (Pilot Sport All Seasons) Coilovers (the brand escapes me) I paid KBB - the exact same amount I bought and sold my E36 M3 for 10~ years ago. I have only had the car 12 hours, so nothing to report yet, but to say I am thrilled is an understatement. When these cars came out, I drooled - and now I have one. He says it will demand a quart of oil just about every oil change (5-10k.) He religiously had them done at around 5k. It has also never had the clutch done but it seems very solid. The pictures I have are crap because it has been raining here, hope to snap some new ones soon. I am still trying to figure out how "blue" the sapphire black is, but I like it! Has Dakota Black leather interior and Gray Poplar which I also love as a combo. I could not be happier with this car for the price I paid. Last edited by castle545; 09-25-2014 at 03:13 AM.. |

Awesome man. Enjoy. I tested a 6spd sedan a few days ago before I tested my Steptronic, and dont regret my decision yet. I too got mine in the 90k's mileage, but bought a longer warranty for most items. Enjoy. I know im loving mine so far.

Congrats and welcome!
Looks like the major items I've read about having issues have been replaced, so that's good!

That's a clean 335 and the major components have been replaced. High-mileage 335 buyers are doing their research and making smart decisions.

Welcome and congrats! I have the same color (Monaco blue). Also have the Michelin PSS on mine. Great gripping tires even in wet weather.
Good all the important things have already been taken care of so you're good to go. Enjoy the ride.

The forums here are such a valuable resource. IDK how I would have bought, sold and modded my last few vehicles without this and other similar model forums where owners provide (usually) good advice and information on used vehicles and what to watch for. |

Its hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like you are missing some mesh in the front bumper. You might want to replace that unless you want to replace other parts, too.

Good eye...good excuse for an upgraded intercooler?
The owner is supposed to bring those by sometime along with the rubber bmw mats and some other odds and ends. Thanks guys...so far this forum has been a wealth of information, and I found 90% of the problem areas to watch for looking here before I even bought it. |

I LOVE the gray poplar! It is sweet at night with a brown from the amber lighting and even nicer in sunlight, actually looking like a graphite mix.
