Renders of the BMW stand at Frankfurt Auto Show next month
BMW AG has released some renders of what their stand will look like at the Frankfurt IAA auto show next month. I'm looking forward to attending the press events. I wonder if BMW will surprise us with anything new.
Have a look at the preview... Dackel.

I'm so excited I can hardly wait. Planning on going at least 2 days. BMW's hall 2 years ago was pretty impressive so I'm counting on them topping that this year.

Geneva is held every March. I like this show alot because its small but you have a lot of high end hyper car manufactures that show off their wares. The big three auto shows in Europe are: Frankfurt, Geneva and then Paris. On the odd years... The Paris Motor Show is held in Paris. I've never been to the Paris show(maybe next year), but I think the IAA is the largest autoshow on the planet!! No exaggerating. Quote:
The Frankfurt show is HUGE. So huge, than you really need two days(or so) to see everything. The show runs for two weeks. The area of the auto show is immense. Roughly about a mile long by a half a mile wide. Not only are they the individual halls for each brand... but outside there are off road and road courses set up for anyone to "test" a new car. Its really cool. Here is a pdf of this year's show... https://www.iaa.de/fileadmin/user_up...nformation.pdf IF anyone is thinking of attending the Frankfurt show... my big TIP is to come on one of the Trade Days - the show charges twice the normal fee... but when you come on a "public day" so do the crowds/crush of people. Its well worth paying twice the price for not so many people at the event. Trust me. Trade days: Thursday, 14 September and Friday, 15 September 2017 Public days: Saturday, 16 September - Sunday, 24 September 2017 Venue: Trade fair grounds(MESSE), Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, D-60327 Frankfurt/Main Show Hours: 9.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m. I think it will be first shown in Pebble Beach this weekend - along with some other "interesting" concepts.

Pretty epic. Thanks for sharing. Clubman world premier? I guess the renders were using old launch renders, lest they be leaked?

The IAA is known as the "home" show for the German manufacturers. That is why Daimler,VW Group and BMW Group take over entire halls to showcase their latest models and innovations.
Up until 2009 BMW constructed its own marquee in the Agora area of the Messe this has now been replaced with the construction of the Portal Haus and Hall 11. Audi now take residence in the Agora with their own showcase stand. The use of Hall 11 has allowed BMW to showcase its brand with an indoor loop which in 2015 allowed visitors to take specially chauffeured rides in the new 7er,BMWi and BMW M models. In 2017 the main event arena will be enclosed with the loop around it to bring a similar TED-vibe event for Cars. The IAA differs from other shows like NAIAS because BMW @ Detroit is relatively a postage stamp in the corner of the arena. The NAIAS starts the year off mainly for the Domestic and import market especially for the year ahead. It's the key important US show for BMW as it is annually just like the other annual show in Geneva. The BMW World Premiere for the NAIAS in 2018 is the BMW X2. The IAA unfortunately has a lot of manufacturers who are not attending in 2017. Such as Nissan,FCA Group,Volvo,PSA group amongst others.
