What to do in London? + proposing to GF

I'm planning a trip to London this summer with my girlfriend and will likely propose to her on this trip. I've never been to Europe, so I'm looking for suggestions on what to do while in London (or nearby, since we are staying in London proper each night) that would go towards satisfying either my car fantasies and/or her fantasies about getting proposed to. If you've been, shoot me some ideas about what is good, or even what is not so we don't get caught in any tourist traps. We won't be there during the F1 race unfortunately but I'd love to hear any other suggestions!

Plenty to in and outside London, there is definitely far more outside London.

Consider posting this in the UK off topic section for some varied replies.

Agree completely with that, go to regionals, you'll find UK there. You'll get some responses there.

There are countless popular tourist options so I won't go into those. I'm sure you can easily find those. If the weather is nice I recommend riding bikes in Hyde Park. They have Santander Cycles for hire throughout the park.

If you fancy North Indian cuisine Punjab is a good informal option in Covent Garden not too far from LSE. It's not Gymkhana or Cinnamon but it's tasty and reasonably priced.

Not kidding OP,

There's too much stuff to do in London. You and your girl won't get bored for a second.

Tower of London and double decker bus tour just scratch the surface as far as historical sites go.

Then you have London Eye, boat rides on the River Thames, and endless shopping and crowds everywhere you look.

It's truly the best city I've ever been to.

I'm guessing you won't be here for Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend...

Do you want to do the tourist sights? What about timing it with music festivals?

What are her likes? Shopping is not a sport!

Other than that the Brits are good at stealing everyone else's culture!
Omg Americans, you suck at this!

A walk along the river, propose, then off via train to Paris you go. Always a win

The guided bike tour is good. Maybe see Churchel's bunker. Tower of London is excellent place to visit, But don't expect to see the crown jewels, line is really long. Trafalgar Square & the pub nearest it are good. That was some of the best food I had in London. And make sure you check out all the parks. Make time to walk to the parks, and they'll probably be a good place to propose. The parks are absolutely astoundingly beautiful.
Bath and the Roman baths/Stonehenge area are a good day trip. Bath may be the greenest place on earth.
Make sure the food on any river tour is popular. The river tour I went on, was the worst food I had in my whole trip.

Omg that's why he has to propose in London, have crazy bathroom sex all through the canal, then a honeymoon in Paris and then for the real honey moon she'll be happy to stay home.

You guys fuck up everything!

My ex proposed to me in Paris. Well, he tried.

"Anna you're the love of.."

"hey a seagull eating there? See it?! I have to check it out."

Yeah, never propose in Paris.

The Sky Garden at the top of the building known as the walkie talkie is nice, it’s free as well but you need to book in advance.

That and an open top bus tour and you could easily eat up a day.
