If you mean plug and charge, that applies to DC charging. I believe the issue discussed here is AC charging.

Yeah that, so I know it is for DC and we are talking AC but my issue specifically on AC started after that was added to the car. Coincidence? Possibly but a lot of things were ruled out so throwing that in the mix just in case times correlate.

I have No plug & go, which would be irrelevant on my home chargepoint flex.
It is throttled down to 32A due to wire size, so that may be why it appears to go off for short periods. The FLO units I was told it's a short cooling break they intermittently take and then continue the charge. |

Yeah they already did. Next is to even up the versions of the loaner to mine and possibly swap out ccu. I’m just wondering if all the charge issues randomly being reported are somehow similar or related to what I’m dealing with. Really frustrating though.

I started having this issue at home after I took the car in for an unrelated issue, and the dealer updated the software to the march 2024 version. This is only happening at my home, and charging elsewhere works. I brought the car into the dealer again along with my chargers but they could not repro.
Mine was built in the summer of 2022 so I didn't think it had out plug and charge, but given the timing of the software update and other people complaining as of late, I think there's something fishy about the 03/2024.30 software. |

What is SUPER puzzling, if not frustrating, is that it works everywhere and the charger charges everything else including other BMWs. I’d be curious what happens if you roll back and likewise what happens if I don’t and they replace the CCU. Beginning to smell a lot like rotten software. |

It certainly fixed a lot of things and I’m not convinced it’s the March update but the plug and charge specifically. After now over a month of tinkering I’m fairly certain that was the trigger point. Whether it is the culprit or did something to the internals which otherwise would have been fine, is to be determined, but that is the ONLY other change I had not considered until speaking with the foreman at the dealer service.

Following up, it looks like the CCU is getting replaced. More details in the other thread: https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/s...8&postcount=91
