Using Driver Seat For Driving Sim
Hello all,
Looking for some feedback about complications I might encounter with this idea. I'm planning to use my E82 135i's driver side sport seat to mount to the DIY sim base I'm currently building. Doing this because my car is just sitting stored, on a battery tender, in my garage for the winter since lockdown gives me no need for a car. I'm wondering though if leaving the seat unplugged while the car still has power will cause any issues. I've heard that leaving the vehicle powerless and charging the battery outside of the car isn't good for the sensitive electronics and may cause issues since I am storing the car until at least April of 2021. With all that said, just to summarize, I'm looking for input on whether or not it's a good idea to leave my driver seat unplugged while the car sits in my garage and still has power, so that I can use it in my sim setup. Thanks in advance!!

I cant think of any reason that it would cause any problems. People install non-electronic seats all the time in their cars, and just code out the warnings.
