Tuxmat for manual?

Tux mat website says x drive only. Has anyone ordered them or are the oem mats the only option?

Theres another company I found 3d spyder. They don't specify the model, but unconfirmed if it fits all. I've been busy to compare the shapes to see if they fit or not and if the tuxmat would fit as well.

Sounds like they need a test vehicle. You should offer to do it for them in exchange for a discount/freebie.

My thinking is that regardless of the number of pedals, the floor is unchanged between models, so it should fit fine.

And of course, there should be an OEM solution that would fit, and I would certainly try Weathertech.

I wish I was local, theyre well worth it. I have a set with almost 50k that look brand new.

Has weathertech changed their forumula? I'm not a fan of how they look ashy after 6 months.

I’ll post as soon as I have the car and mats. Decided to wait a couple weeks to get my timing right. 4-5 days shipping to me and my car left Germany yesterday. 30 day return window =)

Oh, so you're waiting on your car!
Congrats! I think the tuxmats would be a good investment to protect the carpet.

Thank you! Yep, anyday now! I try to get them in day 1. =)

Beyond protecting, it makes cleaning the interior so easy. I have a large air compressor and just blow everything out. Wipe dash, seats then floor with the same 2-3 towels. 5-7 min and the interiors done(I own full service car washs, got it down to a science lol)

Did you get your car and try the mats? Would like to know if they fit.

They fit rwd cars perfect! I will say that I did trim mine a little around the clutch pedal. I remove it every week to clean and don’t want to spend 5-10 min tweaking to prevent any rubbing. I ride mtb 3x a week and track a lot of crap on the driver side.

How's the rear mat fitment on your G80, especially the area where the mat meets the rear seat bottom?

I received mine yesterday and installed it within minutes.
I'm not sure if the rear seat dimensions are different on G82 vs. G80, but the back wall of the rear mat is about an inch too tall that it covers part of the rear seat bottom.

Just wondering if you have the same issue.
Not that I have any passengers sitting in the rear, but it's not a 100% fitment IMO.

You did buy the 4 series mats right?

I have the regular 3 series tuxmats in my G80 6MT and they fit perfectly fine. I will admit, when pressing the clutch fully to the floor, it’s probably about 1/4” less travel than without the tuxmat. I’ve had them in for over 4,000 miles now though, and it has never been a problem. If anything, it’s nice to slightly reduce the amount of travel in the pedal with every shift. Our cars have significantly more clutch travel than needed IMO. Reducing that last 1/4” or so has never caused me to miss/grind a gear though. I enjoy it more than without the mats. Never considered trimming it like RACE M3 But I can see some would.

I also never remove them to clean as I used several of the provided clips to hold it in place. They vacuum so easily and wipe right off with a wet towel. Plus the coverage is insane, all the way up the gear tunnel and door sills. Haven’t needed to remove.

Yes I have. Almost feels like they sent me the wrong mat.
I'll try to take some pics later this evening to show what I'm talking about.

It’s been 6 months plus since the last comment.

Any others with feedback on the Manual fitment before I pull the trigger?

Still happy. 3d Spyder deserves a look as well if you want options.

Do you mean 3D Maxpider Kagu mats? I have those in my F97 comp and really like them. The deadpedal is fully covered vs other brands. They also don't have rubber smell. They didn't make one for my trunk at the time because I have the spare tire raised trunk.

Picked up a G20 330iX yesterday. Site says xdrive and electric is a no go.

Does anyone know if these will fit the xdrive version?

I have no experience with that brand, but I did have with tux mat. Before I decided to gamble with these I posted in my local group if anyone has 1-3 year old 3ds to see how they’re holding up. Before tux mat I had weather techs and if you’ve had them you know how great they are but they always look terrible.

The floor layout is the same for all 3 series vehicles. The m3 mats will fit your car perfectly.

Regarding tuxmat quality, starting my 6th winter season in the Midwest for both of my cars. Still look new! As others have said, vacuum and wipe down, done.
