Thumbs up The Official 2019 NFL Thread/Season

Well gents... I am already watching Preseason and a Sunday Ticket subscriber of course! This year I am truly looking forward to watching teams outside of my own DALLAS COWBOYS. Intriguing story lines:

1. Cardinals. I grew up with Kyler Murray's dad. And watched him play and dominate at Allen High School (undefeated) and also watched him shred up teams at OU.

2. Browns. Well, just because of that teams stacked lineup.

3. Raiders. I want to see what Gruden will do with all of those picks and AB. I read he would not play unless he can wear his old helmet. LOL! That dude never disappoints.

On a sour note... I just heard that Dak (who I am a big fan of his game and especially his character) has requested $40M a year????
He is out of his foking mindset!

While I've become somewhat disenchanted with pro football over the last 3 years or so, I plan to loosely follow the action. A couple of notes:

1. The NFC West could shape up to be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL this year.

2. I predict the Browns won't make the playoffs. These stacked teams rarely ever do well. The sportsbooks have them at decent odds to win the Super Bowl which is not surprising. You can't lego a squad together like fantasy football. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that.

3. AB won't quit football over that helmet. He's a diva and an attention whore. He'll be ready to go Week 1 like everyone else who makes the 53-man roster.

I'm interested in how the following teams perform: 49ers, Bears, Chiefs and Raiders.

LOL, no comment.

Browns will be interesting to watch this year. I like a perennial underdog.

Seahawks football is all I really care about. Let's see Russell earn that money.

Excited for my little brother as he is doing the anthem flyover in his F-16 just prior to kickoff week 1 in Seattle. Gets to go watch the game from the sidelines and meet the team. I would say he is lucky, but he has definitely earned it.

This is my annual "this will be the year of the Jets" post. I am bound to get it right just once in my lifetime. Although at 38 it does seem like a far reach, maybe I should change that to my kids lifetime.

The NFC (L)East is wide open:

Redskins are a mess.
Eagles have a QB who cannot stay on the field. Say we give them Lauletta
Cowboys have a QB who thinks he should get paid more than GOD. He’s average at best, say a better version of Ryan Tannehill.
Giants OL will be tested. WR/LB issues.

Eli still has gas in the tank as he can still throw the deep ball. Just needs protection like every QB in the league.

And ‘why come’ the Giants always open on the road in Dallas?

I'm an Eli supporter to the end.

I'm also buying in on Daniel Jones. I don't know why people think they're going to bench Eli mid season after the last time they pulled that shit. Jones will at best start the following season.

Browns are winning the 'ship this year.

Realistically, I'm just excited to watch a team that has a fighting chance this year.

Great. Another season of PFL (Patriot's Football League) which I won't be interested in watching. The NFL should just forgo them from the playoffs, default them straight to the SB, and give them the title because it won't matter which other teams make the playoffs.
Although not a fan, but I do hope the Browns to have a decent season for a change.

Before we crown the Browns as SB champs come February in ghetto Miami Gardens, can the Browns have a winning season for once? IIRC the Browns last playoff appearance was 1992 when 1/2 of everyone here either wasn’t hatched yet or running around in footie pajamas.

QB comes off as a tool and OBJ can’t stay on the field for 1/2 a season. Cleveland can have his issues along with him demanding a new contract soon. Good luck.

Make a statement on the field, go 7-3 during the first 10 games. Make the playoffs? Toot your own horn but can everyone stop riding their cocks until they prove they are great? I mean honestly.

Kyler layed a major egg last night. He looked clueless out there and looked even worse in the in-game and post-game interviews. This guy's career will be three and out. At least he has baseball to fall back on.

Baker Mayfield should keep his mouth shut and start winning football games. Pro football tends to humble folks very quickly. Funny these guys think just because they were blasting teams in glorified high school football (aka NCAA football) doesn't mean they'll be legit in professional football.

I think Kylers issues stem more from Klingsbury not being nfl head coach material (he wasnt really college head coach material) than it is from his talent and football iq.

And Baker is a stud. now that hugh is gone, this team is going to take a big step forward. Not SB, but i see them winning that division.

2002, went 9-7 and lost in the wildcard game to the Steelers 36-33.

Mayfield comes off as a tool but our previous QB Manziel running around making dollar signs with his hands after a first down isn't?

I'm not 100% sold on OBJ yet as well because of those issues but we'll see.

Mayfield proved his worth last season. Even during the Redskins game this year, we told them ahead of time "Hey, our first possession will be run like a 2 minute drill so look out" and he still walked all over them WITHOUT OBJ or Landry on the field so...
